A woman of the world at a young age, Catherine traveled with her parents from an early age. Her parents worked for an independent charity organization that focused on providing a variety of services for those impacted by terrorist attacks. Catherine developed a sense of empathy through the works of her parents and wanted to help.

During a rescure mission in Wales, her parents brought back a child that was abandoned in a fallen church. This child, having no memory of her name or family was quickly welcomed into the Henning family. Catherine welcomed Sarah as her own sister and grew inseperable since. At 18, Catherine decided to join the Alliance military to try and find another way to help her parent's journey of helping the world. Because of her history with her parent's organization, Catherine tends to act as a pseudo den mother to the rest of her team.
